Litecoin's consensus parameters are its own: a 150-second block target and a 3.5-day difficulty retarget, both a quarter of Bitcoin's, taken from Litecoin Core's chainparams. That, not branding, is why a six-confirmation LTC deposit clears in about fifteen minutes where the same rule on Bitcoin takes an hour.
